What you will learn

When I first designed this mini course, my primary goal was to support those who consistently prioritize the well-being of others. This course is intentionally resource-rich—carefully structured and thoughtfully developed to be both informative and accessible. While it centers on self-care, it also delves deeper into themes of resilience and community building.

Each module is designed to deliver essential insights and practical tools in a format that’s both engaging and easy to absorb. Whether you're new to this field or seeking to deepen your existing practice, the strategies and knowledge shared here will enhance your ability to support others while maintaining your own well-being.

Our expertise is deeply integrated with the ethos of Trauma-Informed Principles, a philosophy we instill across various professional realms including trainers, clinicians, and government agencies. My passion for teaching sustainable helping practices is fueled by a heartfelt connection to those who support others. I have devoted my career to supporting not just my clients, but to other professionals who are looking for community in their helping roles. This commitment to my community of helpers comes after my own symptoms of vicarious trauma and burnout 6 years into my career as a social worker in Baltimore City. I'm committed to more sustainable work practices and community support after these experiences and I am committed to helping to support others as well.
